Study Helps
-
Here are some neat math games
and lessons to do with your kids. Each section of the booklet has
a suggested grade level from kindergarten through 5th grade.

Electronics
Challenge Game!
Electronics
Challenge can be played with one or more students and the parent.
It’s just not as loud and crazy with only one, but still a lot of fun.
The parent puts on
their game show host voice (The Bob Barker “come on down” tone) and asks
their student the question. Based on the child the parent gives enough time
to answer before making a ticking sound that the clock is running out. If
the clock runs out they say “ding” times up the answer is whatever. If
the child gives a correct answer the parent roars approval from the
audience. If the answer wasn’t what was needed the parent makes a noise
like a buzzer for incorrect and provides the correct answer with possibly a
short explanation so the fact is ingrained.
Yes, this game does require the
parent or game show host to possibly go outside of their comfort zone but it
sure is a lot of fun studying this way and my kids love to see Mom acting
silly. The Bone-Up pages are great for question material.
Just print them out!

Also: If
your kids love competition and If
you have two kids with two kits, let each student build one of the noise
maker labs that also has light output. Use the push button switch for the
kids to indicate that they know the answer. Like on Family Feud. When the first contestant
answers incorrectly the second contestant gets double points.
