Hi! My name is Cameron Lister, but everyone knows me as “Mackie”. A native of Loxley, Al., I have lived in South Alabama all my life. Music is my passion. My first instrument was the mandolin, which was given to me on my 11th birthday. Over the years I was blessed to enjoy the tutorship and mentoring of older and experienced musicians on a regular basis. I took lessons from “Top Hat”, of “Top Hat and Jackie”, and at Pickers Paradise in Stapleton Alabama. I also won a scholarship from “Musicians For Music” for guitar lessons at 12 yrs of age. Since the mandolin, I have progressed on to guitar, bass, drums, and fiddle. Lead guitar is my greatest love. I gain the utmost satisfaction and enjoyment out of helping others to discover the inspirations and pleasure that music can be in one’s life.
